Are you familiar with the magnificent Tessa Lena? Of course you are. And we recently had the privilege of speaking to her about COVID Russia (yes, we really “mix it up” here at Edward Slavsquat).

Tessa is a native of Moscow who lives in the United States. Your humble Moscow correspondent is a native of the United States who lives in Moscow. What does this mean? Obviously it means we were destined to Zoom-chat together about the crazy state of the world.

Apart from being an accomplished musician, Tessa is also a Substack Legend. Her unsurpassed masterpiece, “The Great Reset for Dummies,” is basically the only thing you need to read to understand why Klaus Schwab desperately wants you to eat bug-schnitzel. But really everything she writes is great.

We spoke about many things. But perhaps the overarching theme of our discussion was that the Russian people have valiantly resisted—in a uniquely Russian way—Klaus’ slimy but very sustainable tentacles.

We did not talk about Ukraine; our chat was recorded about a week before the “special operation” was launched. Simpler times.

In December (which feels like several thousand years ago), your correspondent attended a Doctors For Truth conference in the Russian capital. We titled our report: “Russians say Nyet to the Great Reset.” This is still true.
