Yuval Harari, the balding prophecizing troll and self-proclaimed bestselling author, predicts that “useless eaters” will have nothing to do and it’s so boring, “they’ll need a lot of drugs and video games” to deal with the upcoming AI utopia. Other options they have in store for “soulless biomass” (Harari words): culling or Musk-Mars newsletter games. Anyway, they worship Patcha Mama or Gaya, so mass extinction is not a problem.

I believe we both agree that Russia is an excessively bureaucratised state (like my own, by the way), though I wasn't aware of the scandalous proportion of workforce directly or indirectly employed in the public sector. My conjecture is that, as in the case of the 'registration' we've already commented on, perhaps the main reason for the government to not do away with totally outdated, useless and unnecessary bureaucratic formalities is the fact that, were those procedures to be eliminated, the authorities would not know what to do with the legions of citizens employed in such tasks. But it would not be reasonable--I think--to sustain that employing those civil servants justifies the continuity of the silly bureaucracy. At the end of the day, economically speaking, excessive formalities result in a less efficient economies with lower GDPs. Therefore, if we advocate--for instance--for eliminating the 'registratsia', we are advocating for firing the half million public employees working in those Immigration and Citizenship Upravlenii/Otdelenii. Or for employing them in more productive jobs. Who knows? Perhaps the GrefBots--and I'm playing the devil's advocate here--would finally result, once the respective chinovniks have already been fired, in the termination of part of the unnecessary bureaucracy?

AI is great in repetitive or analytical functions but that's about it. A lot of bureaucrats the world over would be unemployed were it applied properly and that's also why it will never happen. Bureaucracies are heavily defended fiefdoms.

i think that is one of your best dialogues of late amigo,

thoroughly enjoyed it, determined Luddite that I am too.

What's going to happen to all these redundant jobs-worths?

Scotland has 50+% public sector employment, to the extent almost everyone is a willing brainwashed state gimp, as long as their mortgage is paid : (

many of them are fanatics, they usually have shaven heads, british tattooes, or are women, lol.

what a shit show. are they the useless eaters? has it come to this after decades of insanity and 3 years of pure evil? i think i am turning into a misanthrope, i am not happy about this....

I really hope Russkis do not do all this, otherwise ....

no hope.

cheers : )

Considering Russia's history as a police state, and its ability to afford the energy to run a big ol' technosphere for several decades at least, Skynet is a real threat to Russians. Over here in discombobulating USNATO, Skynet would at most merely cyber-blitz our energy grid and/or nuke our cities. Over there, it might very well put the brain-synch on everyone and wake them up every morning at work-thirty with Putin playing piano in their heads.

Yes, Russia is a major threat to Russia. Russia is succeeding mightily these days, at least in the terms by which we judge huge ancient empires, nation states, and national economies, but success is the worst thing for a hominid social structure to achieve. USA did this and the results are laughable (if one gets high enough to stop crying).

Add the USA Federal government, the 51-ish States, the municipal admin in each and there's approximately 50% of ALL U S. Employment... the same deal. ALL on the Tax dollar of the other 50% pays their wage AND, Of EVERY Tax dollar, 0.48c goes to the Military...

I don't really get the control thing anymore, because people are no revolutionaries. More than 90% are conformists who will do what they told and are in fact asking to be controlled. I large percent think that control is necessary otherwise we might get "anarchy" which is the ultimate evil. And if we look at history most don't have any issues living as plebs or slaves or whatever for thousand of years. So who cares?

Banks have been the scourge of Ukraine and Russia. In the 90s the banks closed their doors and stole the life saving of the Soviet people - my father in law included.. In the 2014 Coup , this also led to Kolomoisky's bank "Privat" to rip off billions - and led to a laundering scam in the US . Каломойский was subpeonaed in the US but since he funded the Bandera Nazis and started the war against Russia - all was forgiven.

East Side, West Side, all around the town, NATO or BRICS,.... the elites are embracing Ai, and the 99.9% rest of us will be herded into their Blockchain global mind hive. Because that's the business plan, and we're just effing peasants as far as they can see. Thanks for the latest on Gref and Company's wonderful plans for you and me.

Sounds great for field-testing UBI. Though the possibilty of seeing these twats killed by a punt in the cunt from hordes of enraged redundant ex-bureaucrats would be a far better show.

But I reckon those hordes would be too busy expecting their monthly CBDC virtual token refill to act.
