I agree completely that no one is “winning” here except the lizards.

My heart bleeds for the country of my forebears…

Russia is winning. Glad I could clear that up for you.

They are taking more territory and losing less troops (5:1 to 10:1 kill rate in their favour).

They sat back for 8 months letting Ukraine exhaust their troops and equipment and are now advancing on all fronts.

At some point Russia will open the northern front and encircle Kharkiv and or Sumy. Ukraine has been sending troops from the northern inactive front to the south because they are running out of troops down south. Once sufficiently weakened the north will be attacked.

As always the people pay the price on both sides for the idiocy of their "leaders". The arrogance and hubris of the Ukrainian Nazis thinking they could bomb Donetsk for 8 years thinking that "Russia will never attack because we have the USA & NATO on our side". How's that working out for you?

Most certainly, the most important takeaway. The loss of life has been horrendous. Just 106 years after Europe shuddered "never again".

Martyanov (see Rurik's blog) two years ago predicted something like 1.5 / 10K (Rus/Ukr) KIA (perhaps just casualties) and a 4 week conflict. The true number may never be known but it right now is at least 100x that on both sides.

Yet there factions to whom that outcome is merely an opportunity. You want to see a population replacement project on steroids? Just hang around for another 5-10 years. Ukr will be unrecognizable and any chance that Russians had of pulling themselves out of a demographic death spiral will not survive the loss of 2 or 300 K males in their prime fertility years.

I agree there is a game-like quality to what Ritter is engaged in. But do understand that if you are actually fighting a war -tactical, operational, strategic, makes no difference, most of your predictions and calculations will be incorrect as well as those of your adversary; that's part of the battlespace. And prevailing and staying alive involves learning and re-calculating and not just hoping your readers (or superiors) forget that you made those predictions that turned out wrong.

Is now good time to trot out my favorite bit of Clausewtiz wisdom?: In war everything is simple, but the simplest thing is difficult.

Martyanov wasn't wrong. The war would have ended in April 2022, but the US & UK had other plans and sent Boris's Johnson to Kiev to nix a sensible peace deal.

Would this "oligarchic superstructure" à la Slavsquat already exits, there would be ONLY one solution, with a fifty-fifty chance solving such problem: We need the total and radical ultra totalitarian war, world wide and by all means; nuclear, chemical, biological....

But I think it doesn't exits at all such "lizard reptiloid oligarchy", beside the eternal iron law of oligarchy exits always, anyway which order, with exception of some world fascist currents which have the tools to handle it; at least theoretical.

So you are going to accept a Bourgeois capitalist society. Aim must be national sovereign based and not globalist.

Inside of the Putin administration there are quite diferent currents, from neoliberal, globalistic technocrats, moderate patriots, multipolarists, conservative etatists, classical liberals, national technocrats, opportunists,...

A lot of people aren't black or white, they are grew or even shizo or are connected with different alliances and third way positions.

I had never heard of Scott Ritter before the start of the SMO, then he was pushed very hard in the alternative media space. He had previously been arrested for child sex crimes twice. Given his awful and ongoing predictive abilities and his clear unwillingness to address them or update his worldview, I think his pro-Russia hopium grift is likely part of an ongoing operation (CIA?) to control both sides of the conversation around the war.

''Arrests and conviction for sex offenses

Ritter was the subject of two law enforcement sting operations in 2001.[39] He was charged in June 2001 with trying to set up a meeting with an undercover police officer posing as a 16-year-old girl.[40][41] He was charged with a misdemeanor crime of "attempted endangerment of the welfare of a child". The charge was dismissed and the record was sealed after he completed six months of pre-trial probation.[41][8]

Ritter was arrested again in November 2009[42] over communications with a police decoy he met on an Internet chat site. Police said that he exposed himself, via a web camera, after the officer repeatedly identified himself as a 15-year-old girl.[5]''

The reality is that Iraq is winning its bid to retain its prohibited weapons. …

Iraq is not disarmed. Iraq still poses a real and meaningful threat to its neighbors, and nothing the Security Council or the United States is doing currently will change this fact.

Here is Ritter the Dove after 9/11

“The truth of the matter is that Iraq has not been shown to possess weapons of mass destruction,' he said in an address to the Iraqi National Assembly -- the first by an American and widely seen as a propaganda coup for Hussein. 'Iraq today is not a threat to its neighbors.'"

You have provided the much-needed contrast on the subject which is difficult to find anywhere else in the alternative media. I confess that I have been much too inclined to back Russia and even Putin in these matters, primarily because I've found rather too convincing the narrative of the Nuland-contrived, C.I.A.-backed overthrow of Yanukovych in 2014 precipitating the secession of Luhansk and Donetsk regions in the Donbas, and then all-out conflict between the Ukrainian military and Russian-backed separatist forces, the refusal by the Zelensky regime to honour the Minsk Accords aimed at ending the conflict, and the sharp increase in Ukrainian shelling of Donetsk and Luhansk using weapons that were prohibited under the Minsk agreements. Besides, I've loathed Zelensky and the insufferable obsequiousness displayed by NATO-member governments, their nations' mass media, and also all the nauseating virtue signalling promoted and contrived by celebrities, influencers, public figures, and cognoscenti.

Regardless of the accuracy or otherwise of this narrative, let alone the professed motives of either side, and those of their controllers and handlers, what has seemed to me to be the more convincing battlefield and tactical commentary has favoured the Russian execution of this war and deemed it considerably superior. And yet, conspicuous by its absence has been an appraisal of the results achieved by Russia with respect to the stated objectives - until the analysis you provide in your article. This is a level-headed, insightful, and extremely valuable countercheck for what might actually be insufficient scepticism with this particular subject displayed by the alternative media. Thank you.

For this sin I will wear cilice belt and won't touch chocolate for 3 days I promise.

It didn't take long to observe that according to Ritter everything Russia does is divine brilliance, while Ukraine and NATO are constantly in panic. It fills me with despair that these alternative channels (Ritter, Duran, Haiphong etc.) are still getting 100K+ views daily while they keep saying the same thing every single day for the last 2 years - Russian victory is 2weeks away...And yet none of the consumers ever stop for the second to think about validity of that simple statement.

It is the same as in my hometown where our mayor proudly installed about 10 public defibrillators recently, and nobody seems to ask the basic question - why now? Will it take a child like in "Emperor's New Clothes" to publicly ask the logical question before people finally start speaking up?

Scott Ritter comes across as a turbocharged military theoretician who comes up with many clever ways how Russia could and should win, but Shoigu keeps letting him down, so poor Scott has to keep adjusting his angles and theories.

Re Slav Nationalism: Is that bad? If so, why, and what's good then in your opinion?

New York - Former United Nations arms inspector Scott Ritter has signed a contract to write a book in which he spells out his suggestions for dealing with Iraq: Bomb the country and overthrow its leader, Saddam Hussein.

"Nothing less will work, and nothing less is justified," Ritter is quoted as saying in Simon & Schuster's announcement Tuesday of his book, "The Iraq Solution," due out in April.

Ritter's book will discuss Hussein's use of chemical weapons against Kurds and Iranians, and "why he must be stopped" before he uses mass-killing weapons again, the publisher said.

Ritter, an ex-Marine, created a stir Aug. 26 when he quit the United Nations Special Commission that monitors Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. He said then that the panel's efforts were being undermined by vacillating American and U.N. policy-makers."

Scott Ritter has made many wrong predictions regarding the war. However, the majority of Ukrainians ARE either supporters of Bandera or for the war or are indifferent to the war.

What does it say about a people that they allow their country to be completely taken over by Zionists? What does it say about a people that they allow their sons to be used as cannon fodder as their country is destroyed?

You can't just blame the leaders.

And what, exactly, do you expect the average Ukrainian to do? You can't vote for someone else because elections are permanently suspended. You protest, you get arrested and/or beaten up and/or killed. You can't leave without paying an enormous bribe and then you got to go be a refugee in a land where you don't speak the language. And there's no feasible way of crossing over to Russian-held territory.

Unless you're willing to abandon your house, your land, you car, your animals, your family, and every single thing you care about and worked for and swim across an icy river (and even that might not work), there ARE no options left to oppose the Kiev government.

Expand full comment

There is one option: a GENERAL STRIKE. If millions of Ukrainians walked off their jobs and went into the streets, they would not get arrested or killed. They might even persuade the police and army to join them.

The reason there will not be a GENERAL STRIKE is that the majority of Ukrainians in Central and Western Ukraine are NOT against the war.

Expand full comment

Ukrainians striking?! Pfft! THE ENTIRE WORLD NEEDS TO STRIKE!

I've personally been engaged in a GENERAL STRIKE over COVID-19, and specifically against the government who have managed the local roll-out of the COVID-19 programme, for four-years now and still with no end in sight! I don't work, I earn nothing, pay no taxes, own nothing (but neither does anyone else), not a car nor even a phone, and I'm still waiting for someone - EVEN ONE! - of my country folk to join me on this strike, but so far to no avail.

People reflexively deny the reality of their own, or that of their rights' and freedom's mortal imperilment while almost everyone's behaviour reinforces the (anti-)wisdom of their state of denial, and while the establishment, institutions, and the media stamp their imprimatur on the denial as the authorised reaction to that reality.

What was acutely obvious to me from the beginning of 2020 - that the governments of the world's nations were conclusively and irrevocably moving against the people, to eliminate many and to finally and completely enslave the rest - and the significance of this to our lives and lifestyles seems to have completely flown over the heads of everyone and hit no one's head but mine, because I'M STILL THE ONLY ONE ON THIS GENERAL STRIKE!

So, while I do agree with you that a general strike, a boycott of everything, and a walk-out with no return until the government - ALL GOVERNMENT - has been eliminated is the only power the people actually possess to effect change, no one else seems to appreciate the mortal danger their countries' governments pose for them, let alone the subtleties of the influence and supremacy of the general strike and, in particular, no one else is prepared to put on their boots and walk out!

I'm hopeful that what Christopher Cook brilliantly said ( https://substack.com/@christophercook/note/c-50075167 ) will be true this time as well, but I still see too little if any evidence that critical mass will ever be achieved:

"We won’t wake the masses. We will never wake the masses.

We just need a critical mass of an active minority. “The Remnant,” as Nock called them. That is all that has ever been needed to make change.

As far as asymmetric resistance, all we can do is what we can do. We will learn from old conflicts, and adapt to new environments, and pray that new circumstances will be on our side.

And we will pray also for peace, and deliverance from tyranny, so that we never get to any such place where force becomes the only remaining avenue."

Why do you think the people you mentioned are attracted by what you called "nazism"? Croatia's regime during ww2 was not National Socialist at all. As to the other countries you mentioned, they rejected Bolshevism.

The youth you saw on videos are from the upper class, have succeeded in being considered as students... Mostly privileged and spoiled. I don't think they typified the Ukrainian youth at large.

Because most trade unions are corrupted (and French ones are really highly so) people don't know how to organize. this is why movements like the noble Gilets Jaunes, the Canadian Truckers have arisen and been severely "punished. But as you could see on the links I provided, micron had to be exfiltrated and could not enter the salon de l'Agriculture... A lot of people are mad as hell. The Power that shouldn't be is fearing insurrection and is trying to figure out how to distract that anger toward Russia to go on war... I don't think it will work.

And for you to get some positive vibes Anton

"By the way , I totally agree that French unions are ass lacking, as are most unions around the world."

I cannot independently verify, but knowing as well as I now do how this world works and how all institutions exist merely to present mirages of integrity and equity to the people in order to lull them into passive acquiescence, I suspect that ALL trade unions around the world are ass-lickers to the corporations (and therefore to the corporate owning old-and-new-money aristocracy), who have doubtlessly long ago either created them out of whole cloth, or have since infiltrated them expressly to defuse, deflect, or derail any meaningful progress in the workers' plight for fairness in treatment, working conditions, and remuneration.

France has been taken over, as well as the US and Russia... The Ukrainian who are against war have been suppressed violently. Those who rejected the 2014 coup d'état had been violently repressed by the integral nationalists (whatever the brand)....

Many Ukrainians fled the country to avoid war, either in Russia or in US occupied Western countries. Many Ukrainian are in hiding to avoid being dismembered after having being violently obliged to go under the meat grinder.

If I follow your point of view, US citizens are cowards as well as French, Brits, Germans etc... They are absolutely not subjected to intense propaganda, the hardship of daily life etc... As a US citizen, how do you express your courage?

our police have battle weapons from the last 20 years of war. our localities as well as the feds gave them special money to buy these toys.

they have no problem shooting the eyes out of teenagers who protested during the 2008 financial collapse with rubber bullets, and also throwing the Jan6ers in prison for a protest which turned into a riot (probably a false flag led by spooks) about a dodgy election.

if you go against the government, you had better have an army here. they have multiple armies stationed all over (cops), each state's national guard, and they have called the latter out long before now to "quell unrest". they will also go after your money, bank accounts, property and anything else and they can seize these things pretty much without any judge's ruling, robbing you the ability to fight their bogus charges.

USA is a kind of penal colony where you get special privileges if you have more money, but unless you have enough money to have dual citizenship or passports elsewhere, you are a peasant and they can take it all away. including your life and livelihood.

so, if you want a bunch of peasants with pitchforks, most of whom are probably crazy and being mislead into a false flag against the government so that they have a reason to "crack down", lead on my friend. but most rational people won't be following.

the "leftists" were hoping that the minorities would do it for them (nothing to lose), so they've been sitting on their asses dithering for 40 years.

I'm old enough to remember the 2003 war in Iraq - and EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO WAS DEAD WRONG about every aspect of the war (why it started, who was going to do what, etc) got promotions, book deals, TV appearances and otherwise prospered greatly.

Every single person who got it right faded into obscurity and poverty. It's some kind of iron law about wars, apparently, going back to at least the Spanish-American War (they even named a journalism prize after the guy who made a $ fortune for always being wrong about wars because he literally bought off the most prestigious journalism school (Columbia) to create said prize).

One person who got it wrong and paid some professional price was NY Times reporter Judith Miller. She got fired as designated scapegoat for the Times, if not the entire media.

One person who got it very slightly right and prospered was Barack Obama, who voiced some extremely tepid criticism in the run-up to the war. He didn’t come close to impugning the U.S. imperial project, or even a marginally different war on Iraq, but it was enough to set him apart from his Democratic rivals in 2008 (such as John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden, who were in the U.S. Senate and voted for it). And Obama went on to make a fortune.

But you’re basically right.

Lisa McRee: What are they hiding?

SCOTT RITTER: They are hiding their retained capabilities in biological, chemical, nuclear weapons and ballistic missile delivery systems.

Lisa McRee: Can you be more specific about what you believe they have?

Scott Ritter: I think one of the things that has been in the news recently is the VX nerve agent, one of the most deadly substances known to mankind. Iraq clearly produced this agent in large quantities and put it on ballistic missile warheads. They have lied about that, they have said that they have not done this, despite the fact that we have the proof in our hands.

Lisa McRee: What's our appropriate response, then?

Scott Ritter: It's time to call the game for what it is. This is Saddam Hussein's attempt to keep weapons of mass destruction and get sanctions lifted. Saddam is linked with these weapons, there is no way of dealing with the weapons without dealing with Saddam.

Lisa McRee: But do what? Should we have a military strike against Iraq? Should it be unilateral or should we do it only with allies? What do you suggest?

Scott Ritter: These are issues that have to be addressed by the national security policy team in Washington, DC, that's what they get paid the big bucks for.

Lisa McRee: What do you think will work, though? You've been there.

Scott Ritter: I know what won't work, continuing to provide concessions to Iraq only feeds their strength. Iraq is in charge of this game right now. They are the ones calling the shots. It's time for the United Nations, the [national] security council of the United States to seize the initiative to start taking more proactive measures to counter Saddam Hussein. And whatever measures the

It seemed to me from the very beginning that this war was like professional wrestling, choreographed. Lots of white people killing each other for reasons no one understands, but they just keep on doing it, month after month, year after year.

There once was a childrens' magazine in doctor and dentist offices called Highlights. At the back of each issue was an illustration passtime with hidden images in jungle scenes and what not. As a kid I realized the hidden images were thematic. Discover the theme and it became much easier to find the other hidden images, instead of seeking them one by one, randomly. That magazine shaped the way I analyzed events as an adult. Spot the theme and discover the relationships. They reveal the identity and motives.

So is there a theme in this war that you can see? I see one. These are the relationships I see when I look into the jungle...

Biden's cabinet and senior leadership

US oligarchs

Zelenski and his senior leadership

Ukranian oligarchs

Russian oligarchs and maybe Putin too

Pharma, Blackrock, Vanguard, State Street

Corporate state media, legacy media ownership

US military contractors and Wagner

Russian, Ukaranian and US embassedors

CIA, SBU, the mafia

Every male who Zelensky exclusively allowed to leave before closing the border.

Every male who Putin exclusively allowed to leave before closing the border.

Many more such observations too numerous

I see a theme among these. Do you? Maybe you are conditioned to not see the theme, but I see the statistical probability of an assignable cause here. Some people get close to seeing it. They might say globalists, oligarchs, elites, bankers, internationalists, space lizards, but I know another word that describes the common theme. Its a simple word. Only one syllable, three letters. Starts with the letter J. Maybe you know this word too. People have been thinking about it for thousands of years but seem to be afraid to say it. Maybe it is dangerous to say it. I dont know. But it sure does explain a lot.

You can see anything you want to see, but this is a real stretch. In any event, it tells us nothing of any actual use. True or false, it does not improve real understanding of events or help make useful or accurate predictions. It is useless pseudo "knowledge."

Thanks for this timeline. I stood too long with this clown's predictions.

One with paranoia (like me) might think all of this is just some kind of entertainment program satisfying all sides of the conflict (like a circus). Meant to occupy the attention of the plebs, keeping it away from more important things like our freedoms been taking away.

Yesterday the German parliament (after 22.00, that is 10pm, rather late working hours) agreed to the WHO's taking over plan.

Also we will soon have a first test of programmable money in Germany. It's an electronic card for refugees hindering them to buy alcohol and cigarettes (alcohol from our hard earned tax payer money! Imagine that!).

Thank you for disagreeing with Scott Ritter in a very civil manner...I used to listen to him every day during the opening days of the SMO but soon I could see this was a slow motion war designed to maximize the kill rate and leave Ukraine totally devastated and at the mercy of the globalists in both the NATO countries AND Russia, et al....I'm not sure what he is trying to accomplish now....his rhetoric

has turned into pure pro-Russia propaganda...Col. McGregor's as well

Sadly the worst losers are the citizens of Ukraine a once beautiful country with rich farmland and beautiful productive people (can't have that in the NWO!!) who are suffering and dying on a daily basis....also anyone from the West that goes there and dares to give an accurate account of what is really happening (think Gonzalvo Lira)

He is controlled opposition with a track record of failure. His pedophilic tendency make him a prime candidate for being a puppet.

It's part of the spectacle and overall narrative formation. Just look at the comments here and elsewhere. Chaos and conflict is the policy, while what is important is not being discussed anywhere. This war is hugely profitable, useful in passifying Europe and brining it under control of US corporate and financial interests and is being used to justify massive increases in military spending and increased control at home. Edward has gone easy on Ritter by not looking back just a few weeks further and pointing out how certain Ritter (along with almost the entire alterno-sphere commentariat) was that all the talk of an impending Russian invasion was just the usual U.S. deep-state/media blob slander and fear-mongering about Putin, only to suddenly discover the SMO was both eminently justified and on the verge of total victory once it started.

The sad part is that Ukraine had it all. Land, water, energy. Topsoil measured in meters instead of inches or feet like the rest of the planet. Fresh water everywhere you turn. Hydro, coal and the second largest gas field in Europe (only Norway's is larger). Until you can figure out how to get the gas out (tight formation) they had a 30% discount on Russian gas.

Breaks my heart to see such a great opportunity pissed away. Of all the places that got out from under the Soviet yoke I was hoping for Ukraine to have a great time because of what was done to them in the 30's. Sadly they only got 2 decades of corruption and then threw it all away in 2014 siding with the west and becoming the USSA's cannon fodder.

it is because of all of those things you list, and them being so close to Russia, that this is happening.

although USA likes to fight over bare sand and rocks, droning goat herders for 20 years, this ain't that.

Since most of those dying are Russian speakers, Washington is winning. Obama's goal and the imperial west's goal has been to reduce the slavic population so that resources can be more easily exploited, the imperialists are winning.

There are 258 milllion Russian speakers in the world. Gonna be a long long long war before that gets significantly reduced.

To put it even more simply - there were 2 million Palestinians in Gaza before Oct 7. And even with non-stop bombing and starvation etc, Israel hasn't managed to kill even 5% of them. Genocide is a lot harder than it looks.
