Besides, I've loathed Zelensky and the insufferable obsequiousness displayed by NATO-member governments, their nations' mass media, and also all the nauseating virtue signalling promoted and contrived by celebrities, influencers, public figures, and cognoscenti.
Regardless of the accuracy or otherwise of this narrative, let alone the professed motives of either side, and those of their controllers and handlers, what has seemed to me to be the more convincing battlefield and tactical commentary has favoured the Russian execution of this war and deemed it considerably superior. And yet, conspicuous by its absence has been an appraisal of the results achieved by Russia with respect to the stated objectives - until the analysis you provide in your article. I'm old enough to remember the 2003 war in Iraq - and EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO WAS DEAD WRONG about every aspect of the war (why it started, who was going to do what, etc) got promotions, book deals, TV appearances and otherwise prospered greatly.
