I had nearly forgot about the Wars on Terror, Covid, Drugs, Poverty. I supported each of them totally, then forgot about it soon after. Anyway, as long as we have a War going on, we're safe.

Do we know if Russia's elected officials just receive the prepared text from the BRICS and sign it into law, as if it was their idea, or do they actually write "their own" legislation but in a way that it matches what they've been told to do by BRICS? If Russian officials actually took the time to write all this themselves, I guess those would have to be bought (supported financially); if they just put their name on it not knowing what's in there, it's probably business as usual.
I understand that Russia is a BRICS member but I assume it was hardly involved in writing the "joint declaration" - which contains WEF newspeak like "rules-based multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organisation" or "sustainable transition to a low carbon and low-emission economy".

Russia has the ability to reach that goal without significantly reducing quality of life. It has abundant fossil AND nuclear resources.
2060 is far away, ancient history in terms of modern electoral-and-geo-politics.
Right now, reducing carbon is net plus in terms of electoral and geo politics. Makes Putin look like a cooperative chap.
In 2060, who knows if that agreement will still stand... or even be remembered?
