What a great article on Whitney's page. Russia break with the WEF then continue to follow the WEF playbook like the teachers pet. Can Russia use this technology responsibly? I think we all know the answer to this. Let's face it, it doesn't matter if Putin is an enemy of the west or friends with China. The fact is that every government with the capability, whatever bloc you're part of, is implementing the same tech and will use it in exactly the same way. Its actually almost as if communism never ended, it just went underground and hid and reshaped itself in the belly of the WEF long before perestroika. So once again, I am left to say that as much as I am a pacifist, the only way out of this mess around the world is a very bloody deadly revolution. That is not something I say with any joy, believe me. But thanks Edward, your journalism is second to none
There is another option. All governments draw their power from the consent of the people. We do not have to comply because we are the producers and they are the drones. One option is to go local with a local currency too. Its not difficult:
I completely agree and have said this many times. But to form a local community you would need like minded folk that live locally. Then you would need to be able to fend off the crazy statists. I think there may be more folk willing to peacefully revolt in the future, but right now they are are still asleep. But definitely, once most have starved or died of vaids then those that are left will have to rebuild from small communities and fight to the death with whatever is left of the elite. Life is just too exciting.
I share your sentiments entirely RD and thank you for commenting. As you say it will take like minds to prevail but this will be after all the options have failed. It could get messy, but as I am nearly 80 years old, I guess I shall miss the fun - maybe, but we are preparing here in the depths of rural Somerset in a village with high community awareness.
Bruton eh, I've never been, but was in Bath a few weeks ago. I'm near Portsmouth so if the shit does hit the fan I'll fill up the car and make my way over there.
I subscribe already so paywall is fine. I also canceled my PayPal account because I had it with the censorship. Venmo is next. Fuck these butt wipes....
I tried to cancel mine after I found out they do not respect incognito pages. I was looking incognito at furniture, and almost immediately got a message from paypal they would give me a 10 % discount if I bought it through them. How incognito was that ! In the meanwhile paypal refuses to close my account...
So sorry to hear this (although of course we understand)
You publish to be read - it's counterproductive to shut people out
Do you remember Cass Sunstein's 2008 article on Conspiracy Theories? He proposed a "tax" on Conspiracy Theories. Effectively, that's what demonetisation is - a financial attack.
Putting yourself behind a paywall achieves the same result.
We need a new payment mechanism, an alternative to PayPal. Your readers want to donate! Paywalls do not seem like the right answer.
However, no criticism of you at all.
Thank you for your fine articles which have utterly transformed our understanding of Russia and Putin. You make a unique and irreplaceable contribution.
Very good article on Unlimited Hangout, thank you. I have already told you that I was not rich, to say the least but since I got a job for a couple of weeks i will try to ask a friend to help me send you some little money. I told you already that I had no tech unless an old computer offered by one of my student and I don't know how to send money thru techs. I save on buying tobacco leaves that I prepare myself instead of buying commercial taxed tobacco so I might be able to transfer a few coins.
I miss the time when I could have send you a letter...
It seems that on the top of the Hill, a muse of literature and joy had you under a spell... Just great!
Just one thing while you still are in Georgia. You must know that it is the oldest place on earth where earthlings have been alchemizing wine... and in jar. Did you taste it?
Wow! I lived in my car for 11 weeks, Summer '71, driving from California to eventually New York, where i grew up, and then driving back, taking only 2 weeks to do that. But i did not face crossing international borders to do that. Best of luck, mohn.
I don't know what you are writing about yet, but an interesting plea for money. The idea of Paypal cutting you off is a sign I ought to read more of your work.
I could go broke quickly succumbing to every plea for money on stack. The first one I encountered was the fellow who invited me to click on stack for the first time and I still feel value with his newsletter (but that could change). I recently canceled one because I too easily succumbed to the plea and then had to read about her feelings, including suicide.
From now on I have to have read an author for a longer time, have the idea they are on top of information, something I don't know, something I might comment on, what piques my interest changes from time to time, so there's that too.
Why don't you write an article as to the reasons one ought to pay you instead of just making the plea for beans? What do you have to offer? And I might not like it, so there's that too.
This comment is for everyone making the plea, you are the lucky recipient of what I'm thinking over the course of the last few weeks while participating on stack, I don't care they won't read it. Its all in flux all the time, authors will have to continually earn it if they have a flow of revenue.
Same here. Already have almost a dozen subscriptions here and on other forums, and have to cancel one before I take another. Sorry Edward you will have to wait your turn !
Hi there Riley , thanks for an update ! On the lighter side : can you share some thoughts of current state of affairs in sunny summer Georgia ? New citizens etc. Greetings .

Riley, while you are enjoying the status of the official resident of Georgia would be interesting to hear from you how is the situation on the ground there. Are they still pushing injections there, how do they progress on the digital slavery track, are they close to implementing QR code system for citizens and residents to participate in life, how easily can you arrange official vaccination papers there, how did the cost of living there change during the time of rampant inflation, how do they manage without the hords of Russian tourists that used to come to Georgia, what's their view of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, are they beginning to push their farmers like they do it in The Netherlands? And so on and so forth. We don't have much information about Georgia here and to get an update from reliable source, e.g. Edward Slavsquat, would be so nice!
Yes, I agree. Also there was a 2 day protest In Tblisi when Riley was there. The protest quickly subsided after 2 days.
Article> Thousands of protesters in Tbilisi today (June 24?) demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Trend reports citing Georgian media.
The protest action is a continuation of the 'Home, to Europe' rally held on June 20 in support of European integration, but is held under the slogan 'Georgia without oligarchic rule!'. The action is attended by students from 15 Georgian universities.
The demands of the protesters were announced by the activist of 'Sirtskhvilia' Shota Digmelashvili: >Prime Minister Garibashvili must resign.
>A National Accord government must be formed that will implement the recommendations of the European Commission.
I've avoided PayPal like the va** for a long time now, only use it to pay when I REALLY think someone who deserves a buck or two isn't set up to receive it any other way. Good luck!

The solutions will come not from those profiting from inequality and scarcity but from relocalizing "money" and production to create degrowth community economies. http://charleshughsmith.blogspot.com/2022/03/the-community-economy-needs-its-own.html

Hi there Riley , thanks for an update ! On the lighter side : can you share some thoughts of current state of affairs in sunny summer Georgia ? New citizens etc. Greetings .
hmm. can you be more specific?

I mean really loads of russian "emigrants" there in Georgia ? And how about weather, always great etc ?
Is Russia standing up to the WEF ? Or not ? Thank you Riley, this is absolutely central.

David E Martin just did a PayPal, Venmo, Wells Fargo connection on this illegal activity of cutting people off.
He was cut off also. I’m sure he’s filing a lawsuit
