What puzzles me is that here is totally unlike Europe. Everyone is against the vaxx, no one trusts the government, and I have yet to meet anyone who voted United Russia. Yet UR won the Samara oblast handily. The elites must feel very confident to attempt what seems to be shaping up as a 6 months lockdown.

More details from Samara. At the main market, the back alley was left to pensioners selling their garden and tree products to make some extra money. It was and is outside, and it was not cold today(around 6 degrees). I went there to buy some apples and beets, and all but one had been cleared. Initially I thought that with the change of the month the outdoors market was over, but one was left. So my guess is that the unvaxxed pensioners were gone.

Across the street where I get my espresso (still open for take out), two of the girls working there are gone. The owner's mother has taken the place of one. Economic deprivation has been instant as you can see. Having seen this movie 19 months ago, it is identical to Europe...
