With all due respect, I have been following Russia's "special military operation" more closely than any other person on this posting board. Why? I live in Belarus and have serious concerns of spills into Belarus. Fortunately President Lukashenko stated Belarus will NOT be involved in the conflict. I research using different news sources (even Ukrainian sourced news like the "New Voice of Ukraine".
1) Ukraine had 8 years of (Feb 2014 to Feb 2022) of building fortified concrete bunkers along the the Donbass contact line.
2) Ukraine disregards Geneva Conventions rules of military engagement by using civilians as human shields and civilian homes/schools as firing positions.
3) Ukraine just officially LOST 19 percent of Ukraine's self proclaimed territory. How is that winning?
4) Russia ALWAYS wanted peace on the sole condition of Ukraine giving respect to the Russian language, culture, and heritage. Russia gave Ukraine so many chances for the sake of a peaceful solution with Minsk Accords in 2014 and 2015. When Ukraine ups the ante (like in poker game), Donetsk, Lugansk Republics, and Kherson, Zaporozhye Regions are NOW as of today, officially Russian Federation.
5) Combat is the last resort and very difficult to achieve success especially when Ukraine uses dirty tactics like human shields near schools and homes.

I would support Musk's plan, if this plan didn't concern Ukraine. As experience of the last 30 years showed - it is impossible to sign any treaties with Ukraine. Well, let me qualify, yes, it is possible to sign a treaty, but it is impossible to make Ukraine follow the conditions of the treaty, especially if the other side of the treaty is Russia. Just look at Minsk-1 and Minsk-2 as the latest example. Simple and clear agreements, with described step-by-step step process, which actually, given the circumstances, were working to Ukraine's advantage. But what Ukraine did instead? They first paid a lip service saying we are trying to comply, but in reality sabotaging every part of the agreement, beginning with the very basis - they didn't remove high caliber artillery and tanks from the front line. Then they tried to change the accord, but finally came to a complete denial of it, saying - we will not comply, period.
This is just one major example of the recent years, but there are many of the other ones from the time of gaining independence in 1991 and even the latest failed Istanbul accord. Every time we observed the same pattern, Ukraine signs the agreement, but then it refuses to follow it and doing it in such way as to stick it to Russians. This pattern of behavior has historical roots and actually represents the major difference in mentality between Russians and Ukrainians, that otherwise have similar cultural constructs and are highly intertwined. Russians are sticklers to signed agreements, Ukrainians are not.
So, based on history, Russia has no choice, but to control Eastern and Central Ukraine, while allowing Poles to take over the Western part. Poles in particular are great at dealing with Ukrainian brazenness - they have none of the Russian sensibilities - "Oh, Ukrainians, we love you so much! What more can we do for you?". Instead their motto is - "You live now in Poland so you must speak Polish and follow our rules. But why do we talk at all? Go and work, you chłop!" If Russia doesn't do that and significant portion of Ukraine remains as "independent" entity, they will always sell themselves to the highest bidder to be a tool against Russia.

actually, I don't think the US military policy and the Russian policy can be compared. In Russia, several hundred thousand conscripts are called up each year for mandatory service -- and are forced to get vaccinated. Now 300,000 mobilized Russians will have to do the same. The American system is not comparable -- it's a volunteer army. You can claim that MAYBE Americans will be forced into service, but that hasn't happened and to pretend that Russia is somehow doing the "same" thing as the US in terms of forcing injections on citizens ordered to serve in the military is wrong.

I'm an Australian and we have a long history of both conscription and anti-conscription. Conscription was first written into our Defence Act 1903, Part IV, but only for home-soil defence and not foreign-soil offense.
By WWI this was reinforced with the War Precautions Act 1914 and the Unlawful Associations Act 1914, the latter which made it a crime to resist conscription. These Acts made conscription for overseas service permissible and were abolished in 1929.
The Citizen's Military Force (CMF), the conscript army, was obliged to fight overseas in Papua and elsewhere in the Pacific Theatre during WWII after the Australian parliament defined their defense service area as the vague "South West Pacific" region in 1943.
The National Service Act 1951 was introduced to conscript for the Korean war. Abolished in 1959, it reappeared 5 years later in 1964 when it was used to conscript for Vietnam right through to 1972. Conscription for overseas service has been abolished since then, but remains a possibility for home-soil defense as per the original Defence Act 1903, or if the WEF puppet psycho politicians now in charge collude to once more send Australians to their hapless deaths overseas for the uber-rich to profit.

I would support Musk's plan, if this plan didn't concern Ukraine. As experience of the last 30 years showed - it is impossible to sign any treaties with Ukraine. Well, let me qualify, yes, it is possible to sign a treaty, but it is impossible to make Ukraine follow the conditions of the treaty, especially if the other side of the treaty is Russia. Just look at Minsk-1 and Minsk-2 as the latest example. Simple and clear agreements, with described step-by-step step process, which actually, given the circumstances, were working to Ukraine's advantage. But what Ukraine did instead? They first paid a lip service saying we are trying to comply, but in reality sabotaging every part of the agreement, beginning with the very basis - they didn't remove high caliber artillery and tanks from the front line. Then they tried to change the accord, but finally came to a complete denial of it, saying - we will not comply, period.
This is just one major example of the recent years, but there are many of the other ones from the time of gaining independence in 1991 and even the latest failed Istanbul accord. Every time we observed the same pattern, Ukraine signs the agreement, but then it refuses to follow it and doing it in such way as to stick it to Russians. This pattern of behavior has historical roots and actually represents the major difference in mentality between Russians and Ukrainians, that otherwise have similar cultural constructs and are highly intertwined. Russians are sticklers to signed agreements, Ukrainians are not.
So, based on history, Russia has no choice, but to control Eastern and Central Ukraine, while allowing Poles to take over the Western part. Poles in particular are great at dealing with Ukrainian brazenness - they have none of the Russian sensibilities - "Oh, Ukrainians, we love you so much! What more can we do for you?". Instead their motto is - "You live now in Poland so you must speak Polish and follow our rules. But why do we talk at all? Go and work, you chłop!" If Russia doesn't do that and significant portion of Ukraine remains as "independent" entity, they will always sell themselves to the highest bidder to be a tool against Russia.

actually, I don't think the US military policy and the Russian policy can be compared. In Russia, several hundred thousand conscripts are called up each year for mandatory service -- and are forced to get vaccinated. Now 300,000 mobilized Russians will have to do the same. The American system is not comparable -- it's a volunteer army. You can claim that MAYBE Americans will be forced into service, but that hasn't happened and to pretend that Russia is somehow doing the "same" thing as the US in terms of forcing injections on citizens ordered to serve in the military is wrong.

The USA is NOT under threat right now. The Russian Federation is under threat from Ukraine and thus Russia's mobilization to defend the Russian Federation.
in Russia, you aren't just forced to register -- you are forced to serve for one year (of course, many don't, either because they are in university or they pay a bribe). This means countless thousands of young Russians are being forced to get injected due to compulsory military service. And now the same with mobilization. It is not comparable to the USA. Russia was forcibly vaccinating Russians even during peacetime. This is just a fact.
Let us agree to disagree. If the roles were reversed and if the USA was nearly surrounded by the WARSAW PACT Soviet Union allied countries and an unfriendly Communist China, then I believe the USA would have a present day conscription. Finally, President Putin simply MISTAKENLY believes that injections provide antibodies in order to boost the immune system. I repeat, there is absolutely NO WAY Russia is injecting their military men to get them sick on the battlefield. It makes NO sense whatsoever to inflect harm upon their OWN military men especially during a "special military operation".
The battlefield will decide if President Putin is part of the World Economic Forum's agenda. If the Russian military have NO serious adverse reactions to these injections, then Russia will win on the battlefield. Once Russia's wins on the battlefield, then Russia will continue to be excluded and ostracized by WEF's supported countries. How can Russia be part of the WEF if Russia is excluded and ostracized from it?

I'm an Australian and we have a long history of both conscription and anti-conscription. Conscription was first written into our Defence Act 1903, Part IV, but only for home-soil defence and not foreign-soil offense.
By WWI this was reinforced with the War Precautions Act 1914 and the Unlawful Associations Act 1914, the latter which made it a crime to resist conscription. These Acts made conscription for overseas service permissible and were abolished in 1929.
The Citizen's Military Force (CMF), the conscript army, was obliged to fight overseas in Papua and elsewhere in the Pacific Theatre during WWII after the Australian parliament defined their defense service area as the vague "South West Pacific" region in 1943.
The National Service Act 1951 was introduced to conscript for the Korean war. Abolished in 1959, it reappeared 5 years later in 1964 when it was used to conscript for Vietnam right through to 1972. Conscription for overseas service has been abolished since then, but remains a possibility for home-soil defense as per the original Defence Act 1903, or if the WEF puppet psycho politicians now in charge collude to once more send Australians to their hapless deaths overseas for the uber-rich to profit.
Vaccination for the common cold with mRNA bioweapons is currently mandatory in the Aus military, just as an aside. Same everywhere I guess.
