Can't we just lock him in his city? He seems to like it there and we'd have one less WEF agent to worry about.

I'm still blown away by the people who still haven't figured out the future these guys are building isn't like, 'optional', or something

Dobrograd!! Wow whoever came up with the name is a genius. If you don't speak Russian (not you, Riley, I know you speak it), it means "City of Kindness" and the sound of it rings like an old Slavic tale.

Expand full comment

For the English speaking I'd go with Goodcity but I think Edward really got it one more time with Goodgrad; it sounds more... hybrid.

Riley always finds perfect words, without a doubt! I am on Team Riley :)

As far as "dobro," the modern meaning is more about kindness, which also makes it like a fairy tale city, this perfect place of kindness. But in the old language it meant "good," "high quality," etc. So it is hard to translate in full from the richness of the language but in any case, whoever came up with it is an evil genius.

Expand full comment

Anyway the word "dobro" is an antonym to the world "zlo", the "evil". And evil is the only world to express the meaning. So we've got the complete Orwell's formula with with a perversion of meaning to the opposite.

Only word, not world of course, sorry!

And I don't think the idea is genius. It sounds very false and suspisious.

Of course it is false and suspicious.

The best English translation for the German Gref's "Dobrograd" is "Pleasantville" (1998).

Polish (and more widely slavic) word "dobro" in english has meanings: good, goodness, goods, kindness, right, weal.

To comprehensively (holistically) understand the word (perverse in German Gref's rendition) "Dobrograd", you must consider ALL of these English words.

Here's something similar contemplated three years ago by Nevada.

"The governor’s proposal only extends to companies doing “innovative” work; relating to blockchains, healthcare, robotics, renewable energy research, biometrics, autonomous vehicles, and similar cutting-edge research. Any company applying to set up an Innovation Zone through the Governor’s Office of Economic Development would need to own and be intent on developing at least 50,000 acres not already part of a city or town, $250 million on hand, and a plan to invest at least $1 billion in the area over the next 10 years."

https://www.archpaper.com/2021/02/will-corporation-owned-smart-cities-come-to-nevada/

And how about Saudi Arabia and its "Neom City."

"The latest development has been announced for a $500 billion “smart city” in Saudi Arabia which will be 33 times the size of New York..."

"What is Neom?

The name is a blending that takes the Greek word neos (”new”) and Arabic word mustaqbal (”future”) to form Neom - or ‘new future’, you could say.

It is part of the Saudi "Project 2030."

Controversial Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has hailed Neom as a vision of the future and a venture that will put Saudi Arabia at the centre of conversation in steps to counter the climate crisis.

Bin Salman has ring-fenced an area of northwest Saudi Arabia for the project, close to the Suez Canal, near its borders with Jordan and Egypt. Its coastal access will make it a trading port."

Hmm, doesn't the future sound like a multipolar paradise.😁

These people know what they are doing - I guess - although it may make no sense.

What concerns me is the local council clones, who are cooperating in building and promoting 15 minute cities, without having any real idea exactly what they are doing.

They are drip fed from command central, to think this is unquestionably progress, and they are high on the ego trip of being the chosen helping pave the way to utopia for all.

We pay these deficients and inerts, to undermine the welfare of all.

Perhaps WE are the real problem.

A bunch know what's really going on, others are bribed and a few might be naive do-gooders who think they're helping humanity, until those who are duped

also become co-opted. The political system is a corrupted mess, so that it makes no difference who you vote for the end result

is the same. Not to mention the state-run mainstream media news and the security state controlled social media platforms.

Expand full comment

By those who know what they are doing, I meant the Nevada Governor, bin Salman, Herman Gref and Co.

While some in the local Councils here may know what is really going on, the vast majority appear to be naive do-gooders who think they are helping humanity, just like covid do-gooders.

These people are alarmingly ignorant and insulated against any other reality.

I just finished watching hours of a Royal Commission into covid, in a nation I will not name, and I was horrified at the prevailing level of ignorance.

Misinformation, disinformation, malinformation and outright lies prevailed as facts.

This was a shocking wake up for me.

I thought the fog of deception was lifting, but apparently not everywhere.

Perhaps, all smart people need to head for the hills.

Feigned ignorance or completely brainwashed?

There's "no" hills to head for, as it's a Global issue. The scamdemic revealed that.

The Double Denim Euro Dog look.

Money and Taste are often mutually exclusive.

Interesting family background: Herman Gref was born in the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic (now Kazakhstan) into a family of German deportees who were exiled there in 1941. Later Gref was involved in the return of exiled Germans to Russia - with his assistance an entire German village called Strelna was built near St. Petersburg.

Most deportees were the offspring of Volga Germans (Lutheran, Reformed, Catholics, Moravians and Mennonites), who were deported to the then Soviet republic of Kazakhstan from the Volga German Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic soon after the Nazi German Invasion during World War II. After the deportation, Volga Germans, as well as other deported minorities, were subject to imposed cultural assimilation. During the Great Purge, Volga Germans were targeted, and following the German invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, ethnic Germans were deported to NKVD concentration camps in Siberia and Central Asia - areas called “human dumping grounds” by historian Robert Conquest. Robert Conquest: "resulting in the deaths of an estimated 1.5 million Volga German by Stalin as ethnic cleansing."

Why were they exiled? Mass expulsions due to their German ethnicity and assumed relation to the Nazi regime. Under Stalin, Volga Germans and seven nationalities of Crimea and the northern Caucasus were deported: the Crimean Tatars, Kalmyks, Chechens, Ingush, Balkars, Karachai, and Meskhetians. Minorities evicted from the Black Sea included Bulgarians, Greeks, and Armenians.

Well, 🤯, this mostly agrees with everything I have been learning recently, and some stuff I have known for a long time. For a long time we have known that vaccines are causing all kinds of horrible stuff, and for a long time we have known that Industries' solution to toxic waste is to mix it into our drinking water (flouride ), and to mix it in, for instance, heating oil, where Mafia takes toxic waste disposal contracts for that. The role of catalytic converters to convert pollution to smaller sizes so it is not detectable, or legally not required to be detected, is new to me. I remember when catalytic converters were introduced and then required, gasoline engine purists were pissed off about it. It is true you never have to replace the stupid things, kind of makes it obvious that they are just changing the toxins, not actually getting rid of them.

Appreciate the shout-out to "The Dude" with "Sometimes there’s a man...he’s the man for his time and place...And that’s Herman Gref, in SberCity." Also, it's a bummer I don't hate myself enough to watch the full 30 min of Gref. Heck, not even enough self-hate here to watch him for 30 seconds (no kidding: I wish to see no moving images of the guy with audio). I guess my hate has been fully projected onto these losers. Thanks for the excellent post.

Herman Gref is the greatest visionary on the planet today. I don't want to sound like I'm gushing but he is a true genius. Smart Cities is exactly what Russia needs.
