Thanks for the comment. Would love to exchange emails with you and ask you a few questions -- I'm particularly interested in hearing more about Serbian Strategic Culture Foundation being shut down. My email is riley (dot) waggaman (at) gmail (dot) com if you have time to chat :)

If you gave us your serbian translation we could run it through a translator. But the video offers nothing... no subtitles... nothing.. Or is there a way??

If you care about privacy, you can try Brave Browser instead of chrome

https://brave.com/compare/chrome/

It uses the chrome store for its extensions library, so you can still download google translate. It even opens private windows in Tor if you want to use that.

I've just downloaded Gikken's Mate translator extension for tryout; seems to work.

FWIW, I also use hopefully-uncensored presearch.com as my search engine.

I try to avoid all things google, in the naive hope that my privacy and security might be marginally improved. My goal is to extend the time it takes NSA/Google/MSM, or whatever, to access all my personal info from 16 to 20 seconds. Take that!

//It uses the chrome store for its extensions library, so you can still download google translate.//

Brave has a built in translator. No need to download an extension

Note: most translators services involve sending the data to the translator's servers. Those servers naturally have to know where the request came from(otherwise they can't send the translation back). They also obviously the contents of anything they translate. If the implications of that is an issue find translators that work off-line.

//also use hopefully-uncensored presearch.com as my search engine//

...

https://presearch.io/engine

//The next step is to begin layering our own index on top of this platform so that community-driven results can supersede the external results, yet still provide users with comprehensive answers while the Presearch index is in development.//

^translation: they currently use other search engine's index/ranking which unavoidably includes whatever censorship those search engines built into their search results.

Most alt-search engines are like this, e.g. 'meta' search engines. For example StartPage is mainly a privacy-oriented(how oriented these corps are is another Q) front for google search results. And DuckDuckGo is the same for Bing. Most of the 'indi' meta search engines are fronts for Bing. Since you like Brave it is worth pointing out they have their own search engine now https://search.brave.com, though it is also mostly piggybacking off Google/Bing despite what they claim, there are plenty of searches which yield the exact same links in the exact same order. Search engines that are actually doing their own crawling/indexing/ranking ect will have dramatically different links and ordering. Building large comprehensive indexes is hard/expensive which is why a lot 'supplement' their indi results with the big player's results.

Thank you!! I have been to Russia (Moscow) half a dozen times and absolutely loved the experiences. I am an avid student of Russian history and love the culture. And yes, what I have experienced there, first hand, with what I see depicted in media has little correlation. Thank you for this article!!

There you go again, Riley, telling people that they should get information about Russia from..... Russians, instead of from reliable commentators and bloggers who know exactly what the hero-needing activist masses in the West want, someone they can look up to and pin their hopes upon. 😂

THANKS!

Georgy Sviridov - surprised I have never heard of him until just now. Close contemporary of Shostakovitch - but neo-romantic (sounds bourgeois to me!) - close to the Orthodox sung liturgy tradition (how did he survive!? - died peacefully in 1998) - but connection to Russian"folk" traditions may have saved him. Actually, I know of no composers of any note who perished in the purges - Stalin took a run at Shostakovitch but that may have been just for sport - the whole group of them Dimitri and Prokofiev at the forefront, were treated with great care during the great Patriotic war - shifted around as needed well behind the front lines during the worst of it.

"I Cried"... So Russian... and yet, what a great idea for a forum here in the States. With the eye-popping, mind-blasting degradation we are served up on a daily basis, just think of what fun stories we could share! Laughter through tears...as the immortal Gogol wrote.

"One of the great mysteries of the 21st century is why western alt media coverage of Russia bears little resemblance to Russian alt media coverage of Russia. "

Not a mystery when one knows how to judge supposed "alt" news channels. Because majority of them are govt agenda pushers in disguise. Which is logical. Main stream media is owned by lying jooz and has become obsolete, hence the race to gain subscribers masquerading as alt news channels.

So huge thanks for being on the right side in this fight! To you and everyone else who is not afraid to think and speak the truth and outside of the imposed box.

Cheers out of Zagreb, Croatia.

If anyone here is from ex-yu, please check my blog and subscribe. I write to inform Croatians who arent good with foreign languages with things that are not found in any mass media, or any alt for that matter. In fact, I tend to have a will to write certain things only because I dont see others doing it. Things I find very important. And if I see the need to report local happenings to foreign public, I will add content in english.

I agree with this. I've commented frequently that the net effect of people such as Doug Macgregor and Scott Ritter to quote the two most prominent just now is simply to give the impression that the USA etc. needs to give more support to Kiev.

They simply do not push the truth: that the whole west needs to give less support.

So I call them CIA assets by default.

Hvala Vam Zorane!

Bacam oko!

Ugodan Vam dan.

Opa, imate u svome tekst VRLO zanimljivih informacija o toj svinji Grefu!

Cijenim vašu otvorenost i pokušao sam Vam odmah parirati. No shvatiću ako čete misliti da su moja razmišljanja i zaključci pre-radikalni.

Bacite oko na moje ranije objave o kovidu. Ovdje čete takodjer moči vidjeti kako neki, uključujući i mene, u Hrvatskoj vide stvari.

Also, could you provide some insight on this ZH puff piece at some point?

It basically claims Russia is offering 'free' education to non-Russians, but I can't help but feel there might be some sort of shot mandate catch or WEF nonsense or 'surprise Ukraine war military conscription' or some such. Could you delve and explain?
